500 internal error
I have been getting 500 errors on my website lately when trying to save blog posts and sometimes when I install other plugins. I’m using Elementor which is supposedly 100% compatible with the Phlox theme. They have found the error to be the Phlox Core Elements plugin that is creating the issue. However, I’ve just re-built my entire site using this plug-in and theme. Can you please help me fix this? This is an example of a 500 error on my website due to this issue:
Also, Elementor said I reach out to you and also said:
If they need any help from us (seeing that it is dependent on Elementor), they are free to open an issue on our Github page where our developers will be happy to assist.
Here is the link to the error file where elementor found the issue pointing to Phlox theme:
This has only started happening in the last two weeks, so it may be related to a Phlox theme update?
Please let me know how you can help.
Hi Dear Sara
Thank you for using the Phlox theme and contacting us.
I can see that you have many plugins activated on your website.
This is likely due to a problem with incompatibility with other plugins.
To make sure that everything works properly, you need to isolate this problem, by deactivating all other plugins one by one.
I hope this helps and if you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
Please do this and let me know the results.

I worked all morning with my website provider trying to figure out what plug-in it is. I did what you said and could not figure out what is causing the problem. Meanwhile, I created two new blog posts. The first one gave my entire site a 500 error. The second one won’t load (https://www.sarahodesigns.com/3-tips-for-finding-modern-home-furniture-and-decor-on-a-budget-part-2-of-2/). We finally tried uninstalling the Phlox theme and my blog loaded fine. Elementor was correct is saying that it’s an issue with the theme. Can you please refer to my first post with all of the links and work with Elementor to please fix this? I can’t rebuild my entire site…and Phlox said it’s compatible with Elementor. Thank you.
Please note that the blog posts that are causing the issues are now set as DRAFTS. You can log into my wordpress and publish them to re-create the issue. I switched them back to drafts because I’m tired of having my entire site down while trying to fix this issue.
Thanks for contacting us and sorry about the delay in responding.
